BrightHire supports SAML SSO with the Okta platform.

SAML Integration

Supported Features

  • IDP initiated sign-in (sign in from Okta)

  • SP initiated sign-in (sign in via Okta from BrightHire)

Requirements

  • To set up BrightHire user provisioning with Okta, you'll need to have access to the Okta Admin account and you will need a BrightHire Site Admin.

Configuration Steps

  1. Add BrightHire to your Okta Admin

    • Select the Applications tab and then select Browse App Catalog and search for "BrightHire"

    • Click "Add"

2. Configure BrightHire

  • After installation go to the "Sign On" tab

  • Click "Copy" on the Metadata URL and save it somewhere

  • Scroll down and find the value in your Okta domain field.

    • If empty, click edit and set it to a value like <company>.okta.com (e.g. contoso.okta.com)

    • Copy the value and save it somewhere

3. Configure your SSO settings in BrightHire

  • Visit Settings > SSO Setup in BrightHire

  • Enter your Okta Domain value from Step 2

    • It looks like <company>.okta.com (e.g. contoso.okta.com)

  • Enter your Identity Provider Metadata URL from Step 2

    • It looks like https://brighthire.okta.com/app/adfbdfsahfdsa/sso/saml/metadata

  • Click "Save Changes"
