In this article, we will cover the steps required to connect Lever to your BrightHire organization. The integration allows you to use Lever as your single source of truth throughout BrightHire. From candidates, positions, and interview guides, you will be able to schedule interviews in Lever and have your data linked to your BrightHire interview. Interview call notes will appear under each candidate’s “Notes” section in Lever.
Step 1: Generate Lever API Credentials
In Lever, navigate to Settings > API Credentials
Under API Credentials, click 'Generate New Key'.
Please name the key “BrightHire” and copy the API key to a safe place. You will need to paste this key in BrightHire.

Scroll to the Permissions section and click 'Select all'.
All of the boxes under all sections should now be checked. This will allow BrightHire to integrate your Lever data with your BrightHire interviews.

Step 2: Enable the Webhooks
After we have your API Key, your integration will be validated. BrightHire generates a custom URL to use for your webhook configuration. The four webhooks that need to be enabled are:
In BrightHire , copy the Webhook URL (you will paste this in Lever)
Click on the Webhooks tab from the Integrations and API.
Scroll to Webhook configuration.
Navigate to the first webhook
Toggle the webhook to green
Click '+ Add webhook'.
Paste the webhook URL from BrightHire in the URL box
Make sure all boxes are checked below
Highlight and right-click to copy the token
Return to BrightHire and paste in the 'Webhook Signature Token Object' box
Tip: To make adding the token easy, Copy/Paste the sample webhook text into the 'Webhook Signature Token Object' box
Note: When pasting the token, paste between the quotes (leaving the quotes) and remove the brackets
Continue with these steps with the following three webhooks
When you've completed all 4 webhooks, hit 'Save', return to Lever and click 'Verify Connection' for each webhook. The webhook is set up correctly if you see Verified with a green check.
Once complete, please let your Customer Success Manager know and BrightHire will do an initial sync of your Lever data and the two systems will be fully integrated, ready to use.
