Approving the BrightHire App in Microsoft Azure (for calendar sync)

If you are having issues using Login with Microsoft and syncing your calendar, it could be because your IT team needs to grant admin consent

Written by Will Decker

If you are seeing error messages while using "Sign in with Microsoft" or syncing your Microsoft calendar, it may be because your IT team needs to grant admin consent to BrightHire in Microsoft Azure. This will allow users at your company to sync their calendars to the BrightHire application.

There are two options to complete this:

Option One

You will need to have a Microsoft Admin at your company follow these instructions to grant permission for you to login to BrightHire:

  1. Invite a Microsoft Admin to BrightHire

  2. Have them login to BrightHire using their Microsoft Admin account and follow the prompts to consent

  3. Have them go to the Microsoft Azure > Enterprise Apps Portal

  4. Find the BrightHire app

  5. Click "Grant admin consent for [Company name]"

Option Two

If your Microsoft Admin knows their Azure AD tenant id, they can use that to construct this URL, visit it, and follow the on-screen prompts to allow you to login to BrightHire:

(replace {tenant-id} in the URL above with your Tenant ID)
