Here at Revolut, we truly believe in the Dream Team value and we never compromise on talent. We select, coach, and retain the top talent only and give them all the support to achieve greatness.
Interviewing is key to ensuring those that join our rocketship keep adding to that Dream Team. We have decided to partner with BrightHire to give candidates the hiring experience they deserve: fair, professional, and efficient, and to ensure that our interviewers are constantly held to the highest of bars in terms of their interviewer performance.
Here’s more info about how we do that:
What is BrightHire?
BrightHire is a technology platform that helps Revolut deliver a great interview experience to every candidate, and to run a fair and effective hiring process overall.
Why is Revolut wanting to record my interview?
At Revolut we seek to maintain a very high talent bar for all our employees, and that includes our interviewers, after all they are the gatekeepers to people entering the company.
By recording interviews we can drive continuous improvement of our interviewers, ensure those that are underperforming are given the assistance to improve, and share established best practices with other interviewers in order to make fairer, more professional, and more efficient hiring decisions.
How will I know the interview is recorded?
You will always know that the interview is being recorded.
All our interviews are conducted using Google Meets, you will see a visual recording notification (like a red recording button), hear an audio message, and/or see a recording notification appear when you join the videoconference.
You can also at any time during the interview say that you would prefer not to be recorded.
Can I choose to interview without being recorded?
Yes - you will receive an email prior to your interview with a link allowing you to opt in to being recorded. We hope you will opt in but if you do not your interview will not be recorded. Choosing not to be recorded will have no impact on your candidacy for the role.
Who will be able to review my interview?
In the same way companies decide who can view interview feedback and notes, BrightHire gives very limited access to the following teams/individuals:
Revolut’s Performance team
People Analytics team
Is my interview secure?
BrightHire’s first value as a company is Put Candidates First, and this shapes every decision they, and we, make, including our approach to data security and privacy. We take the responsibility of securing your information very seriously and use a variety of industry-standard technologies, including being SOC-2 compliant and preventing unauthorised access, disclosure, use, and loss.
Will BrightHire make a judgement about my qualifications for the role?
No. BrightHire is built to help people make better, less biassed hiring decisions. We do not use AI or provide any judgement on the interview itself. The platform may analyse your interview to help your interviewer recall important moments, but BrightHire does not attempt to automatically determine if you’re the right candidate by evaluating your words, voice, or video - that's the interviewer’s job.
How long will my data be retained?
The initial recording of your interview will be retained for thirty days; time enough for BrightHire to process the transcript to send through to Revolut where it will be anonymized and processed.
If your interview is identified as being suitable for training purposes (based exclusively on your interviewer’s performance), your video recording will be retained for a period of one year and will be temporarily accessible to employees when enrolled on the interviewer training pipeline (approximately 20 employees a month)
If you have any further questions please reach out Revolut at [email protected] or the recruiter you are working with.
