The BrightHire Interview Assistant for Zoom Meetings allows you to bring the BrightHire Interview Assistant right into your Zoom window, ensuring that everything you need is in one easy-to-use display.

The Zoom App can be installed by individual users from the Zoom App Marketplace, but at many organizations this step requires pre-approval or can be completed by an internal Zoom administrator.

Check "My Apps" in Zoom to see if the Zoom App has already pre-installed for you or if it's been pre-approved by your organization for you to install yourself.


Zoom Admin Instructions to Pre-Install Marketplace Apps

🚀 Zoom Admins can now save time by pre-installing apps on behalf of users!

This allows admins to install the BrightHire Interview Assistant for Zoom Meetings from the Zoom App Marketplace directly to the Zoom accounts of users in their organization.

Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace as an admin or owner. Search for and select the app you want to add for users on your account.

To the right of the app name, click Add for Others.

The app authorization page is displayed, providing details on required app permissions.

Under the "As an admin, add BrightHire Interview Assistant for" section, choose one of the following options:

  • All users: Add this app for all users in your organization.

  • Specific Users: Search for and select one or more users on your account to add this app for.

  • Myself: Add this app for only yourself.

Important Note: It's strongly recommended to deselect the "Send email notifications to the users I’ve added" checkbox to prevent Zoom from sending an email notification to the users you are adding the app for. By default, this option is selected.

Individual User Install // Admin Pre-Approval

To pre-approve the Zoom App for your organization, navigate to the BrightHire Interview Assistant for Zoom Meetings in the Zoom App Marketplace and turn pre-approval on.

Important Note: Your organization may have notifications enabled to email users when a new Zoom App is available to users. That setting can be controlled here.

Once the app is pre-approved OR if pre-approval is not required, users can install the Zoom App from:

Troubleshooting: Zoom App - Stuck in an Install Loop

If you're attempting to install the Zoom app and keep getting redirected back to the login page, you may be hitting a known Zoom-side authentication issue.

In this state, the Zoom App authorization gets stuck and the install never fully completes, which causes the login loop. Unfortunately, things like logging out of Zoom or reinstalling the extension won’t fix it because the stuck state exists on Zoom’s side.

To reset the install:

  1. Open this link directly in your browser (not from inside Zoom):
    https://app.brighthire.ai/zoomapp/install

  2. Complete the install flow again. This will trigger a fresh OAuth authorization and reset the connection.

  3. Once complete, reopen Zoom and navigate to:
    Apps → BrightHire Interview Assistant

At that point, you should be able to access the app normally.
