Does BrightHire work with the scheduling tool Guide?

Written by Jennifer Steinker

Yes. The easiest way to think about it is that Greenhouse is the system of record, Guide handles scheduling, and BrightHire handles the interview itself. Guide and BrightHire do not appear to need a direct integration with each other. They both integrate with Greenhouse.

Here’s the flow:

  1. The interview exists in Greenhouse. Greenhouse holds the candidate, job, interview plan/kit, interviewers, etc. Guide syncs jobs, candidates, interviewer profiles, and interview schedules from Greenhouse.

  2. Guide schedules the interview. A recruiter can use Guide to coordinate availability, choose interviewers, load-balance panels, communicate with the candidate, and handle rescheduling. Once scheduled, Guide creates/updates the scheduled interview in Greenhouse. Guide specifically requests Greenhouse API permissions to create, update, and delete scheduled interviews.

  3. BrightHire picks the scheduled interview up from Greenhouse. BrightHire syncs Greenhouse scheduled interviews, along with the candidate, job, interviewers, and interview kit. So from BrightHire's perspective, it doesn't really matter that Guide did the scheduling. Once the finalized interview is represented correctly in Greenhouse, BrightHire can ingest it and associate it with the right candidate/job.

  4. BrightHire records and processes the interview. Based on the organization's BrightHire recording settings, BrightHire will join the Zoom/Meet/Teams interview, record it, generate the transcript and AI notes, and associate everything with that Greenhouse interview.

  5. BrightHire sends the results back to Greenhouse. After processing, BrightHire can post interview notes to the candidate's Greenhouse activity feed and, when enabled, draft the interviewer's Greenhouse scorecard.
