Using BrightHire Screen with Workday

Written by Jennifer Steinker

Screen Workday Integration

Release: Workday integration for AI Interviewer (Screen)

What’s new (TL;DR)

You can now run AI Interviewer screens directly from Workday—automatically inviting candidates, capturing results, and keeping everything in your ATS.

What changed

BrightHire Screen now integrates with Workday Recruiting as an assessment step.

When a candidate reaches the right stage (or a recruiter triggers it), they:

  • Receive an AI interview invite

  • Complete the interview asynchronously

  • Have results (evaluation + transcript context) sent back to Workday

All without leaving the Workday workflow.

Why this matters (talk track for customers)

Teams using Workday don’t want another system to manage early-stage interviews.

This integration keeps everything in one pipeline:

  • No extra tools or coordination → stays inside Workday

  • Faster screening at scale → async interviews remove scheduling bottlenecks

  • Consistent evaluation → same AI Interviewer per role

  • Cleaner workflows → no copy/paste or status drift

How to position it

“You can now run AI screens the same way you run any assessment in Workday—candidates are invited automatically, complete it on their own time, and results show up right in your ATS.”

How it works (simple explanation)

  1. Map Workday job requisitions to BrightHire Positions

  2. Assign a live AI Interviewer to each Position

  3. Choose how invites are triggered:

    • Automatic: when a candidate enters a specific stage

    • Manual: recruiter moves candidate to trigger the invite

  4. Candidate completes the AI interview asynchronously

  5. Results sync back to Workday for review

When to use this (good customer fits)

  • Workday-native recruiting teams

  • High-volume hiring environments

  • Teams struggling with scheduling bottlenecks

  • Customers who want structured, consistent early-stage screening

Suggested CTA

  • “Work with your Workday admin to map requisitions and assign AI Interviewers to each role”

  • “Decide whether you want automatic invites or manual control for sending screens”

Important notes

  • Setup requires coordination between BrightHire and Workday admins (assessment steps, permissions, mapping)

  • Invites may not be instant depending on configuration (e.g., polling intervals)

  • Each Position must have a live AI Interviewer to trigger screens

  • This is a Workday Recruiting (ATS) integration—not a full Workday HCM integration
