This guide outlines how to transition from the Zoom Native integration to the BrightHire Zoom Notetaker. Following these steps will ensure a smooth migration with minimal disruption to scheduled interviews.
Overview
Zoom Native is the legacy “connect your Zoom account” integration and relies on cloud recording.
Uses the older Zoom connection approach and can be more sensitive to permissions/settings and meeting-by-meeting friction.
Zoom Notetaker - A BrightHire bot joins the meeting to capture it.
Your Zoom admin installs the
BrightHire Notetakerapp once for the org, and the Notetaker automatically joins eligible interviews to record and send them securely to BrightHire (nothing is saved to an employee’s computer).
During this migration, you will:
Configure required Zoom settings
Remove the existing Zoom Native integration
- Important: When migrating, Native must be fully removed first to avoid conflicts.
Zoom Admin Installs the BrightHire Notetaker Zoom App
Validate the new setup
