This article covers:
How to configure Teams specific settings in the BrightHire platform, including
Chat settings
Auto install for meetings
How to add the BrightHire Teams app to a Teams organization policy
Prerequisites
Must be a site administrator in BrightHire
Must have access to Microsoft Tenant ID or be an Azure administrator for your organization
Configure Settings In BrightHire
Teams App settings can be found under:
BrightHire → Settings → Integrations → Chat Notifications → Microsoft Teams (also found here).
Tenant ID and Chat Settings
Retrieve your organization’s Azure Tenant ID — an Azure administrator will need to get this from the Tenant Properties in the Azure portal.
Enter the Tenant ID copied above into the Tenant ID box and click “Save Settings”
You can choose to disable the welcome message when joining Teams for your organization. This is the “Send welcome message when joining Teams” checkbox on the settings page.
NOTE: This will prevent the BrightHire Interview Assistant from sending the below Teams chat message asking users to log in when they install the Teams app. They will then need to log in when they add the App in a meeting.
Auto Install
Enabling this setting will automatically add the BrightHire Interview Assistant to Microsoft Teams meetings that are expected to record through the BrightHire system for all users.
Your Microsoft Tenant ID must be saved in order to configure Auto Install. Once that is supplied, you will see the below button to “Configure Auto Install”
Once you click that, you will be redirected through a Microsoft permissions page where you will have to grant access to the BrightHire app with the following permissions:
Once you click Accept, you will be taken back to the BrightHire settings page where you will now see that Auto Install has been configured.
Adding the BrightHire Teams app for your organization
A Teams administrator can add the BrightHire teams app to an Organization policy. This will “pre-install” the app for users.
First, verify the BrightHire Interview Assistant is available and unblocked for the appropriate teams under the Manage Apps configuration.
Then, from Setup policies you can select the appropriate policy (or Org-wide default)
Under the Installed apps section, you can click “Add apps” and search for BrightHire Interview Assistant. Select it from the drop down list and then click “Add” in the bottom left. of the side panel.
NOTE: If the “Send welcome message when joining Teams” checkbox is checked in the BrightHire settings, this will send the chat message to every Teams user within the applied organization policy.
